Allyson Felix

Allyson Melissa Felix was birthed in Los Angeles, California on November 18th 1985. Paul Felix served as an ordained minister at Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix was an athletically inclined child and found her passion for sprinting during her time at Los Angeles Baptist High School. A mere 10 weeks after the initial attempt she made, she was ranked 2nd in the 200m race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix finished high school and subsequently signed an agreement with Adidas. In the year 2004, she enrolled in an institution called the University of Southern California, where her major was elementary education. Felix received her first Olympic medal at the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record in the 200-meter race with a time of 22.18. The 2005 Helsinki World Championships saw her becoming the youngest female to be crowned the winner of the 200-meter race. In 2007 she defended that title, beating her Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix was a regular competitor in London, Beijing Rio de Janeiro, and Tokyo. She consistently placed at the top of the podium in the events.
