Alison Doody

Alison Doody is an Irish actress and model. She was born on 11th November, 1966. Her first feature film appearance was a small part on The James Bond film A View to a Kill. (1985). Then, later she played the Nazi-sympathising archaeologist Elsa Schneider (Indiana Jones and in the Last Crusade 1989). Other roles include Siobhan Donavan in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) Charlotte in Taffin (1988) and Rebecca Flannery in Major League II (1994). A photographer approached Doody. Doody began to model that eventually led to the profession of commercial modeling. Doody did not like glamour or nude work. This was a principle that was carried into her acting. She accepted a small role in the film Jenny Flex for 1985's A View to a Kill following the fact that she was noticed by the director of casting. Doody's name appeared within John Willis Screen World Vol. 12 of the most promising actors from 1986. 38. Doody was just turning age 18 at the time she was cast in the role as a Bond girl. She is still the youngest Bond girl to date. A Prayer for the Dying (1997) with Mickey Rourke, also featured a smaller role as IRA Siobhan. Doody was a silent actor in a 1987 film adaptation to The Secret Garden, playing Archibald Craven's dream wife Lilias. Her first lead role was in a 1988 episode of Jim Henson fantasy series The Storyteller as Sapsorrow with John Hurt Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders. She acted alongside Pierce Brosnan as Dr. Elsa Schneider, an Austrian Nazi sympathizer and an archaeologist for forensics in the film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody was in the film with Sean Connery in the film, as Indy's dad. Doody appeared in the 1991 British miniseries Selling Hitler with Jonathan Pryce. The film was based on the Hitler Diaries publication scam. The actress later relocated to Hollywood. She played Flannery as Flannery in Major League II, opposite Charlie Sheen. Doody came back to acting in 2003, playing a small role on the British comedy The Actors, in which Michael Caine played herself at the awards ceremony. in 2004, Doody was in the film in a scene with Patrick Swayze alongside a TV adaptation to King Solomon's Mines. Also Doody appeared in Benjamin's Struggle (2005), a pamphlet describing the Holocaust. Doody filmed a role in Danny Dyer's film The Rapture. Doody was a guest on RTE's the medical thriller The Clinic. The project was eventually canceled. Pam Jefferson, the character that she played in the comedy series E4's Beaver Falls during its first season of two years. She starred in We Still Kill the Old Way which was a film from 2014.
